Matt is the CEO and Director of the October Protection Group.
Matt’s passion for the business has driven him since he joined in 2010 and it is this driving force and passion that keeps October Protection thriving at the level it is today.
​
Matt has worked as a close protection operative, self defence trainer and security operative for over 24 years. He has also provided Risk Management and Close Protection services to many VIPs, celebrities and dignitaries.
​
Holding a diploma in Criminal Psychology Matt's consultancy work means he is on advisory panels for many areas of the Security and Protection Industry
With over twenty four years experience in the Hospitality and Security industries, Conor has recently been transitioned from Operations Manager for October’s Queenstown and Wanaka operation, to Christchurch where he is now based and working out of our head office as our new General Manager for all sectors of October Protections business interests.

Tom has over 13 years’ experience in working across a variety of Public and Private sector companies across New Zealand, England and Canada including Security, Media, Banking, Environment Agency, Civil Engineering, National Health Service, Hospitality
His roles have included, Senior Security Operative, Security Manager, Operations Manager, Health & Safety Operative, Media Executive, Sales and Marketing Consultant, Customer Service, Human Resources and Administration

He was promoted to National Operations Manager in Sept 2019 in recognition of his outstanding work & loyalty over the last five years
Mark Henderson joined October Protection in September 2014 with 16 plus years of experience in the Security and Hospitality industry.

In 2017 Mark Stepped into the Project Managers Role and is currently overseeing projects all over New Zealand
​
Mark has a passion for the New Zealand Security Industry and see's that through training and the sharing of knowledge New Zealand Security can take its rightful place on the International scene.
